The Right Exercise Weight Loss Plan for You

by Gary

Staying in shape is not something that 'just happens', it's something you have to work at. Some people will look to a popular weight loss diet to help them with their weight loss, but while a healthy eating plan is important, to be most effective you should have some sort of a regular workout routine in place as well. When you combine healthy eating with an exercise program you have the makings of an exercise weight loss plan that will have you dropping body fat in no time.

To begin you need to define your goals. Initially these are probably going to be simply to lose fat and drop weight. You should probably talk to your gym instructor about what exercise machine will be most effective for this. Using an exercise bike or walking on a treadmill allow you to control the level of intensity that you put in, but it's important to remember that 'if you do the same, you stay the same'. Push yourself a little harder each time you go to the gym and you will see results sooner. You don't need to worry about weight training or toning with an exercise ball or the likes just yet as your workout is going to be primarily cardiovascular. In other words you want to strengthen your heart and lungs and lose some body fat before you move your workout to the next level.

I won't lie to you, if you have allowed yourself to become overweight this type of exercise weight loss plan is going to be hard work at the start. but don't worry, your body is an amazing thing, and it will adjust to the change in routine. Your health and fitness will improve the more regularly that you make use of your exercise program. Eventually you will get to the point where you are quite comfortable doing your cardio sessions each time you go to the gym, and you will be thrilled with your weight loss. This marks the point you can move away from your 'workout for dummies' type plan and start personalizing your exercise program depending on the goals you set earlier. It may be time to break out the exercise ball and start working on abdominal exercise to tone your tummy, or if you want to get the body builder physique then it's time to incorporate some weight training into your exercise program. This is an exciting time, because you have lost the extra body fat, you have got past that loose weight goal of "I want to be lighter" and are now working on creating the body you have always wanted.

Some woman are a little intimidated by the thought of going to a gym, because they are ashamed of their bodies. This is not unusual and your exercise weight loss plan can be executed outside a gym by merely walking or jogging close to your home. A gym has qualified staff who can help you with each stage of your program and give you specific advice that will speed up the process. Some people have recognized that exercise for women can be an intimidating process and have started all-female gyms where you won't have to worry about guys looking at what shape you are in. Others have developed an exercise video that allows you to do a fat burn workout in the privacy of your own home. There are far more options out there than just going on a Jenny Craig diet.

Regardless of where you exercise, weight loss really comes down to you and your desire to lose weight. You can learn just about everything you need to know from a 'Nutrition for dummies' and a 'Lose weight for dummies' book. In fact you can probably learn everything you need to know from this article. But just reading won't help you lose weight. You need to decide on an exercise weight loss plan and commit yourself to it. Not for a week, or even a month, but until you have lost the weight you are not happy with and have crafted the body you always wanted. And once you have achieved those goals, you will find that you are so happy with the level of your health and fitness that you want nothing more than to keep going with the exercise program that has helped you so much. Good Luck.
